Scholarships at Holmes

The TAHi team at Holmes is proud and excited to launch two new scholarships.

Our scholarships are designed to support talented people from diverse backgrounds and help drive innovation and inspiration in our industry.  TAHi stands for “Together at Holmes initiative”, and also means ‘as one’ or ‘together’ in te reo Māori.

We are excited about the prospect of supporting and empowering the next generation of diverse engineering leaders. We encourage eligible students to apply and be part of our commitment to a more inclusive and innovative engineering community.

Available scholarships:

He Waka Eke Noa Scholarship (Aotearoa New Zealand)

Rooted in the whakataukī “He Waka Eke Noa” (we are all in this together), this scholarship is designed for students who actively promote diversity and inclusivity and demonstrate a sense of shared responsibility for the engineering community.

Internship (NZ)

The winner of the He Waka Eke Noa Scholarship (New Zealand) scholarship is eligible for a paid internship for the duration of (12) weeks in one of our four NZ office locations.  The internship is optional and not a requirement of the scholarship.

Location – please make sure you provide information on what location you’d like to be based for your internship. We’re considering interns in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch.

Emerging Innovator Scholarship (Australia)

This scholarship, for Australian-based applicants, recognises students who embody the spirit of diversity and innovation. Applicants are encouraged to showcase how their unique backgrounds and perspectives contribute to the field of engineering.

Internship (AU)

The winner of the Emerging Innovator Scholarship (Australia) scholarship is eligible for a paid internship in our Sydney office. The internship is optional and not a requirement of the scholarship.

We will tailor your interning time to fit around your study schedule and other commitments so that you can do some interning each week or do a big block of interning during your study break. Or do both – whatever works best.

A scholarship at Holmes includes:

  • $5000 in funding to support you through the completion of your studies
  • Ongoing support, mentorship, and guidance
  • A paid internship opportunity
  • The ability to learn from the best technical minds in the industry
  • Site visits and exposure to ‘real life’ projects
